FAQ

DO YOU OFFER A GUARANTEE?

Yes. Accountability is a big deal to us. So we offer security that nobody else does. Once we finish your campaign, if you don’t like the quality of the work or the results, you don’t owe us the last one-third of our fee. And you keep all the work we’ve done, no questions asked. That’s how much we believe in what we do.

DO YOU CHARGE A RETAINER?

No. Retainers are a great deal for the marketing agency, but a lousy deal for authors. If we continue running your campaign after your initial work is complete, we’ll charge you a monthly fee, but each of our 8 core services comes with a flat fee so you know exactly what you’ll pay, period.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?

You bet. We offer 8 different marketing services, and we’ll recommend a selection of those services that suits your needs. If you contract for 4 services, you get a 10% discount on the total tab. Contract for 5, it’s a 15% discount. Contract for 6, can you say 20% discount? Contract for 7 or 8—what we call “Beast Mode”—and we’ll knock 25% off your bill.

HOW LONG ARE YOUR ENGAGEMENTS?

120 days—90 days before your publication date, 30 days after. We do that to keep costs down. Traditional PR and marketing firms lock you into long-term retainer contracts that can cost tens of thousands of dollars. By limiting our window, we control costs and focus resources on the most important time in the publishing cycle. We’ll also teach you how to handle your own marketing like an expert.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY 120 DAYS ARE UP?

That depends. If you feel ready to handle your marketing yourself, you go your merry way and don’t owe us another dime. Or we can put together a customized CampaignBeast maintenance program for you. That’ll keep us managing your PR, speaking, social media or what have you for one reasonable monthly fee.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE ME A BESTSELLER?

Of course not. Anyone who says they can is lying. Truth is, it’s tough to generate interest in a book by an unknown first-time author. That’s why we don’t rely on money-wasters like boilerplate press releases. We get creative, preach patience, and remind authors that there are lots of ways a book can be a success: helping grow a consulting practice, getting you speaking engagements, attracting the attention of key players in your profession, and many others.
